ती हिरमुसली..
तिसऱ्या दिवशी तिने गुलाबजाम, बासुंदी, भरीत, भाकरी आणि लोणचं वाढलं..

तिला हायसं वाटलं, आज काही मागणी नाही असं वाटू लागताच तो म्हणाला,
“शिरा हवा होता यार..”
ती प्रचंड निराश झाली..पण काही बोलली नाही.
चौथ्या दिवशी तो स्वयंपाकाला लागला,
तिला बसवलं आणि वाढून दिलं..
तिच्या आवडीचा सांबार, इडली, डोसा आणि चटणी वाढलेली..
ती खुश झाली, पण तिच्या लक्षात आलं,
ताटात चारच वस्तू आहेत..
“आपलं पाच पदार्थांचं ठरलं होतं, विसरला?”
“असा कसा विसरेन, आहे लक्षात.. थांब मी आणतो..”
असं म्हणत तो बाहेर गेला..
“बाहेर का गेला? काही गोड मागवलं असेल..आपण वाट बघूया..”
तो आत आला,
हात रिकामा होता,
“काय रे? पाचवा पदार्थ? “
“अरे, विसरलोच बघ..”
असं म्हणत तो परत किचनमधे गेला..
जवळपास 10-15 मिनीटांनी बाहेर आला, ती अजून वाट बघत होती..
“काय वेळ लावतोय वेड्यासारखा?”
हे काय, आणलं आहे..
असं म्हणत एक बारीक लिंबाची फोड त्याने तिच्या ताटात ठेवली,
“हा पाचवा पदार्थ?”
हो…
ती रागाने पाहू लागली, पण भूक लागलेली म्हणून काही न बोलता जेवायला सुरवात केली..
सगळं गार झालेलं, चवच निघून गेली होती खाण्यातली, तिचा संयम सुटला अन ती त्याला बोलू लागली..
“गेले 3 दिवस इतकं चांगलं चांगलं करून वाढत होते तुला तर रोज काही ना काही तक्रार करायचा..ताटात जे वाढलं आहे ते न बघता जे नाही तेच मागायचा…आणि आज? त्या पाचव्या पदार्थासाठी मी खोळंबले, अन दिलं काय? लिंबाची फोड??”
“मग तेच मला तुला समजवायचं आहे..”
“म्हणजे?”
“हे बघ पूजा, आपल्या ताटात जे वाढलं आहे त्याचा आनंद घ्यायचा…जे नाही त्याबद्दल तक्रार करत गेलीस तर आहे त्याचा आनंदही लोप पावतो…तू इतकी मेहनत करून माझ्यासाठी छान छान बनवलं, पण माझ्या तक्रारी ऐकून तुझा हिरमोड झाला की नाही? मग विचार कर, ज्या देवाने आपल्याला इतकं सगळं दिलं आहे त्याचे आभार न मानता जे नाही त्याबद्दल खंत करत बसलो तर त्याला किती वाईट वाटत असेल? आणि जेव्हा मी तुला वाढत होतो तेव्हा पाचव्या पदार्थाची वाट बघता बघता ताटातलं सगळं गार झालं, आहे त्यातलीही मजा निघून गेली…हीच गोष्ट आयुष्यात लक्षात ठेव…जे नाही त्याबद्दल खंत करत बसण्यापेक्षा जे आहे त्याचा आनंद घ्यायचा..मेहनत करायची, कष्ट करायचे, आणि त्याबदल्यात आपल्या ओंजळीत जेवढं पडेल त्यात समाधान मानायचं, आपल्याला हवं तसं सगळं होत नसतं… मिळत नसतं… त्यामुळे हा स्वभाव सोडून दे अन समाधानी रहा…सुखी रहा..”

After I initially commented I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the same comment. There has to be a means you can remove me from that service? Appreciate it.
