अशिक्षित सून हवी (भाग 10)

घरातले सर्वजण जमा होतात..वकील भावना पूर्ण घराकडे एकदा डोळे भरून बघते…अरुण धावत बाहेर येतो..दोघेही एकमेकांकडे ओल्या नजरेने बघतात..शिखा हळूच लहान सासूबाईंना विचारते..

“कोण आहे??”

“भावना…मोठ्या जाऊबाईंची घर सोडून गेलेली सून..”

शिखाला आठवतं, वकील असलेली ही घरातली मोठी सून, शिकलेली होती म्हणून तिला घर सोडून जावं लागलेलं… ती आज अचानक आली, इतक्या वर्षांनी…
भावनाशी कुणीही बोलत नव्हतं, कारण काय बोलावं हेच कुणाला समजत नव्हतं.. अखेर भावना स्वतःहून घरात आली आणि रावसाहेबांना म्हणाली..

“रावसाहेब..तुम्ही झिडकारलं असलं तरी सून आहे मी तुमची अजूनही..वाईट काळात माझ्या कुटुंबासाठी धावून येणं कर्तव्य आहे माझं…”

लहान सासूबाई हिम्मत करून तिला बसायला लावतात, पाणी देतात..रावसाहेब फक्त गप्प बसून असतात. लहान सासूबाई तिला सगळा वृत्तांत कथन करतात..

“तुम्ही तुमच्या हाताने सह्या केल्या आहेत. केस गुंतागुंतीची आहे, पण आपण काहीतरी मार्ग काढुया..”

“तू इथेच थांब..म्हणजे तुला सगळी मदत होईल..हो ना रावसाहेब??”

रावसाहेब हो म्हणतात, कारण भावना शिवाय आता दुसरी कुठलीही आशा दिसत नाही…

भावना इतक्या दिवसांनी घरी आलेली असते, आपल्या खोलीत जाते..अरुण येतो आणि तिच्या मिठीत हमसून हमसून रडतो…ती खोलीत बघते, दारू, सिगारेट खोलीभरून पडलेली असतात. आपल्या मागे अरुणचे काय हाल झाले हे पाहून तिला रडू आलं…

“आता मला सोडून कधीच जायचं नाही…मी या सगळ्यांना कधीच हात लावणार नाही..पण तू जाऊ नकोस..तू किती प्रगती केलीस गं. पेपर मध्ये तुझे फोटो पाहून अभिमानाने उर भरून यायचा…असं वाटायचं की तुला तिथे येऊन मिठी मारावी, पण घरच्या परंपरेने मला बांधून ठेवलं होतं, पण आता नाही… आपण घर सोडू, दुसरीकडे राहू…घरात भांडण झालं तरी चालेल..”

“या सगळ्या गोष्टी नंतर अरुण, आधी घराला अडचणीतून बाहेर काढू दे मला.”

अरुण तिचा हात घट्ट पकडून ठेवतो..

खोलीत शिखा आणि लहान सासूबाई येतात..

“भावना, बाहेर ये जरा बोलायचं आहे..”

तिघींमध्ये दीर्घकाळ चर्चा होते…

दुसऱ्या दिवशी रावसाहेबांना चहा घेऊन लहान सासूबाई जातात, रावसाहेबांनी मानसिक स्थिती खराब असते..ते त्यांनाच बोलतात..

“तुझ्या भावाने जे काही केलंय ना त्याला माफी नाही…तुझ्यामुळे ही वेळ आली आज..”

लहान सासूबाईंना वाईट वाटतं… इतकी वर्षे इथे राहूनही भावामुळे त्यांना ऐकावं लागलं होतं..

“हॅलो दादा, मला माहेरी यायचं आहे..”

“कशाला??”

“कशाला म्हणजे?? माहेरी जात नाही का मुली??”

“हो पण तू कधी येत नाहीस म्हणून विचारलं..”

“दादा, अरे कितीही झालं तरी माहेर आहे ते माझं, माहेरची सर येईल का या घराला?? आणि रावसाहेब मला नको ते बोलले…काही किंमतच नाही माझी या घराला…”

“कालपर्यंत तर फार गोडवे गात होतीस…बरं, गाडी पाठवतो…ये..”

लहान सासूबाई घरी जातात, घराची अगदीच दुर्दशा केलेली असते भावाने..

“दादा, मी काय म्हणते आता लग्न करून टाक…घराला एक लक्ष्मी हवी..”

“मला कुठे वेळ या सगळ्यासाठी??”

“मी आहे ना…मी एखादी चांगली मुलगी बघते..”

“बरं… माझे काही मित्र येणार आहेत, आम्हाला काही खायला बनवून देशील??”

“हो हो नक्की..”

लहान सासूबाई पूर्ण घर आवरतात, साफसफाई करतात…सुधीरचे मित्र घरी येतात..सासूबाई त्यांना ज्यूस आणि नाष्टा देऊन येतात…मित्र निघून जातात अन सुधीर ड्रिंक घेतो…

“दादा काय हे…”

“मला सवय आहे…काही बोलू नको…”

“बरं बाबा घे..दादा राबसाहेबांनी मला फार वाईट बोल लावले रे..मला फार वाईट वाटतय..”

“सोड ना..”

“सोड ना काय, अरे तुझ्या बहिणीला सासरी त्रास आहे आणि तू??”

“त्यांचा काटा काढलाय मी आधीच…”

सासूबाई त्यांचा फोन घेऊन येतात..

“काय गं??”

“आमचे हे फोन करणार होते, अजून आला नाही फोन..बरं तू काय सांगत होतास??”

“अगं त्यांची जमीन गिळली आहे मी…अजून काय पाहिजे..”

“खरंय दादा, ते त्याच लायकीचे आहेत..मी तर म्हणते सगळी जमीन खिशात घाल, मग आपण अगदी सुखात राहू..”

“माझी बहिण..वाया गेली नाहीस हा, शेवटी भावावरच गेली..”

“पण तू त्यांची जमीन घेतली कशी??”

“शहरात गेलेलो, तिथे त्यांनी आपल्याच सुनेला पुरस्कार दिला..ते पाहून त्यांना धक्का तर बसलाच, त्यांची मनस्थिती ठीक नव्हती, याचाच फायदा घेऊन आणि खोटं बोलून त्यांच्याकडून मी सही घेऊन घेतली..”

“वा दादा वा…हेच ऐकायचं होतं मला.”

“अं??”

“काही नाही, चल मी जाते..घरातलं बरंच आवरायचं आहे..”

“Good नाईट. बाय..” सुधीरला चांगलीच चढलेली असते…तोही निघून जातो..

कोर्टात सर्वजण हजर होतात..सुधीर अगदी निरागस बनून सांगतो..

“रावसाहेबांनी स्वखुशीने ही जमीन मला दिली..आणि आता परत मागताय, याला काय अर्थ आहे..”

“याने मला फसवून माझ्याकडून सह्या घेतल्या..”

भावना बोलायला लागते..

“मिलॉर्ड…एक असा व्यक्ती, ज्याने आपलं संपूर्ण आयुष्य शेतीत घालवलं, ज्याने समाजसेवा केली..जमिनीला आई मानलं, तो व्यक्ती सहजासहजी जमीन कशी देऊ शकतो??”

सुधीरचा वकील बोलतो..

“तुमच्या माहितीसाठी सांगतो, रावसाहेब राजकारणात उतरणार होते, त्यांना निवडणूक लढायची होती, निवडणूक लढायची म्हणजे पैसे लागणार, त्यासाठी जमीन विकणार आहे असं रावसाहेब यांनी मिस्टर सुधीर यांना सांगितलं..”

“सगळं खोटं आहे…जास्त वेळ घालवण्यात अर्थ नाही…ती क्लिप ऐकवा. .”

सगळेजण बुचकळ्यात पडतात, कसली क्लिप?? सर्वजण बघू लागतात…आवाज येतो..

“माझी बहिण..वाया गेली नाहीस हा, शेवटी भावावरच गेली..”

“पण तू त्यांची जमीन घेतली कशी??”

“शहरात गेलेलो, तिथे त्यांनी आपल्याच सुनेला पुरस्कार दिला..ते पाहून त्यांना धक्का तर बसलाच, त्यांची मनस्थिती ठीक नव्हती, याचाच फायदा घेऊन आणि खोटं बोलून त्यांच्याकडून मी सही घेऊन घेतली..”

कोर्टात सगळे एकमेकांकडे बघू लागतात, सुधीर आपल्या बहिणीकडे बघून चिडतो…

अखेर निकाल रावसाहेबांचा बाजूने लागतो..आणि जमीन त्यांना परत मिळते..

कोर्टात रावसाहेबांना बघून सुधीर ओरडतो..

“मी तुम्हाला फसवलं तुम्ही जिंकला, पण माझ्या बहिणीने जी फसवणूक केलीय त्याचं काय??? डॉक्टर आहे ती, मी दुसऱ्यांदा फसवलं तुम्हाला…हा हा…बोला आता..”

रावसाहेब ते ऐकून न ऐकल्यासारखं करतात..सर्वजण घरी जातात, घरात आनंदाचं वातावरण असतं, मोठ्या सासूबाई सर्वांच्या हातात साखर ठेवतात…पण सोबतच सुधीरचं बोलणं मनात असतं, “डॉक्टर आहे ती..” याचा अर्थ काय??”

रावसाहेब म्हणाले, “फक्त साखर?? अगं चार किलो पेढे आन, माझी सून आलीये आज परत..”

सर्वजण डोळे विस्फारून रावसाहेबांचा आव बघतात..
