पगार कमावणे,

आजेसासू कौतुकाने बघत असायची,

“भलती हुशार हो माझी नातसून..पैसाही कमावते, घर पण बघते..बायका कसं बाई दोन्ही सांभाळतात”

ती प्रश्नार्थक नजरेने पहात राहिली,

घरातले खर्च वाढले, 

ती मुलांकडे मागत राहायची,

मुलं एक दिवस कंटाळले,

म्हणाले,

“आई तू कमावती पाहिजे होतीस”

नवऱ्याने एक दिवस एका पार्टीला नेले,

मित्र मित्र बोलत होते,

त्यांच्या बायका शिकलेल्या, उंची राहणाऱ्या,

हा तिला म्हणाला,

“तू नोकरी करायला हवी होतीस, अजूनही बँकेचे हफ्ते मीच फेडतोय”

ती परत प्रश्नार्थक नजरेने बघत राहिली,

मुलं बोलायची, सुना बोलायच्या, सासू बोलायची, नवरा बोलायचा..

घरी आपलं मन मोकळं केलं,

वडील म्हणाले,

आज तिच्याकडेच उत्तर मागत होते…
