सर्वजण पोलीस स्टेशन ला जातात…
“साहेब…चोरी झाली असा आरोप कुणी केलाय लक्ष्मीवर?”
“आहे एक व्यापारी…त्याच्या गोदमात लक्ष्मी आली होती आणि तिथल्या तिजोरीतून हिरे चोरीला गेले असं त्याचं म्हणणं आहे..”
“बेनीलाल??”
“होय..”
सासूबाईंना लक्षात येतं… बेनीलाल ने बदला घेण्यासाठी लक्ष्मी ला यात अडकवलं होतं…
“पक्या..मला सांग…त्या दिवशी गोडाऊन मध्ये अजून कोण कोण होतं?”
“आपली गॅंग, बेनीलाल आणि त्याची काही माणसं..”
“आणि आपण जायच्या आधी तो काय करत होता?”
“तो लपून बसला होता…त्याच्या काही माणसांसोबत..”
“कुठल्या ठिकाणी लपला होता?”
“तिजोरीजवळ..”
“अच्छा…आता आलं लक्षात… जेव्हा तू पाठमोरा उभा होतास तेव्हा त्याच्या एका माणसाने मुद्दाम तुझ्या खिशात काही हिरे टाकले..जेणेकरून आपल्या गँगवर आरोप करता येईल..”
“हो हो हो…एक माणूस होता त्याचा. सारखा माझ्या मागे लागलेला…माझ्या मागेच उभा राहायचा…बहुतेक…त्यानेच केलं असणार..”
“पण आता हे सिद्ध कसं करायचं?”
“एकच पर्याय…बेनीलाल कडून वदवून घ्यायचं..”
“बेनीलाल वर नजर ठेवावी लागेल… पक्या, चल…बघू तो कुठे आहे..”
सर्वजण शोध घेत बेनीलाल च्या आसपास पोचतात.बेनीलाल एका ज्योतिषाकडे गेलेला असतो..त्याच्याशी बोलून तो निघून जातो…आणि मग सासूबाई आणि गॅंग त्या ज्योतिषाजवळ जातात..
सासूबाई बंदूक काढतात तसा तो ज्योतिष मागे होतो..
“जे विचारतो ते सरळ सरळ सांगायचं..”
“माफ करा माझी काहीच चुकी नाही..”
“मी म्हटलं का तू काही चूक केली ते??”
“नाही…पण..तुम्ही मला का पकडलं??”
“हा बेनीलाल कधीपासून येतो इथे?”
“खूप वर्ष झाली..मला विचारल्याशिवाय काहीही करत नाही बेनीलाल…त्याचा ज्योतिष शास्त्रावर खूप विश्वास आहे…”
“बरं.. मग आता एक काम करायचं…आम्ही जे सांगू तसं करायचं.”
“काय करू नेमकं?”
“त्याच्या गोदामात cctv कॅमेरे आहेत…3 मार्च चं फुटेज त्याच्याकडून मागवायचं आणि आम्हांला द्यायचं..”
“अहो असं कसं मागू मी? त्याला शंका येईल..”
“सांगितलं तेवढं कर नाहीतर तुझी लघुशंका करायचे वांदे होतील..”
“बरं बरं मी करतो..”
ज्योतिष पुरता घाबरतो…पुढच्या वेळी बेनीलाल त्याला भेटायला येतो ..
“अलख निरंजन…बेनीलाल…संकट सामोरं दिसतय मला तुझं..”
“काय झालं पंडितजी??? काही अनर्थ तर होणार नाही ना?”
“खूप मोठा अनर्थ होईल…तुझा सगळा पैसा एक दिवसात खलास होईल…”
“कसेकाय??”
“3 मार्च ला तुला तुझे शत्रू भेटले होते का?”
बेनीलाल विचार करतो अन त्याला आठवतं.. लक्ष्मी आणि गॅंग सोबत त्याची झटापट झालेली..
“हो हो पंडितजी…भेटले होते..”
“त्यातला एक अघोरी आहे..तुझ्यावर करणी करेल..”
“काही उपाय पंडितजी?”
“मी माझ्या मंत्राने त्याची शक्ती नष्ट करेल..”
“त्याला आत्ताच पकडून आणतो..”
“त्याची गरज नाही…त्याचा एखादा फोटो असला तरी चालेल..”
“फोटो तर नाहीये…”
“पण मग काहीतरी हवं ना समोर..”
“एक मिनिट, माझ्याकडे गोडाऊन मधला cctv फुटेज आहे…तो चालेल?”
“चालेल की…आणून दे..”
बेनीलाल तो व्हिडिओ pendrive मध्ये आणून देतो..आणि हात जोडून तिथेच उभा राहतो..
“तुम्ही निघा…मंत्र म्हणायला वेळ लागेल…उद्यापर्यंत काम होऊन जाईल..” ज्योतिष त्याला जायला लावतो..
“पण…तो pendrive…”
“काय त्याचं?”
“तो व्हिडीओ, तुमच्या कडेच ठेवा हा फक्त..कुणाच्याही हाती लागू देऊ नका..नाहीतर”
“निश्चिन्त रहा…pendrive माझ्याकडे सुरक्षित आहे..”
बेनीलाल निघून जातो, ज्योतिष सासूबाईंना फोन करून बोलावून घेतो आणि pendrive त्यांच्याकडे देतो..
सासूबाई आणि गॅंग तो pendrive मधलं फुटेज बघतात…त्यात स्पष्ट दिसतं की बेनीलाल च्या माणसाने काही हिरे पक्या च्या खिशात मागून गपचूप येऊन टाकलेले असतात…तो व्हिडीओ घेऊन सर्वजण पोलिसात जातात..लक्ष्मी ला निर्दोष ठरवलं जातं..
“सासूबाई…मला वाटलेलं की तुम्ही मलाच दोष द्याल..पण तुम्ही तर मला सोडवण्यासाठी आटापिटा केलात..”
“माझी सून आहेस तू…तुझ्यासाठी नाही मग कोणासाठी?? आणि हो..तू नसताना बऱ्याच सुपाऱ्या पेंडिंग आहेत..त्या कोण पूर्ण करणार??”
“SB..तू तो माफिया बन गयी रे…मेरे आगे गॅंग चला रही है..”
“खरं सांगू लक्ष्मी? खरं तर मला हे आवडणारं नसलं तरी आता मी या गोष्टीत इंटरेस्ट घेऊ लागलीये, आजवर इतक्या बंधनात आयुष्य घालवलं आहे की आता…असं मुक्तपणे जगायची अभिलाषा निर्माण झालीये मला..”
ते ऐकत असताना लक्ष्मी चक्कर येऊन पडते…
निखिल धावत येतो..
“आई…काय बोललीस तिला? तिच्या डोक्यावर ताण आला का?? पुन्हा ती कोमा मध्ये नाही जाणार ना?? माझ्या लक्ष्मी ला काहीही व्हायला नको..”
