 आपल्याला लाज वाटेल असे कपडे आणि बघू न वाटणारे चाळे..

तिला धक्काच बसला,

जी कल्पना केलेली त्याहीपेक्षा अवघड आहे हे..

करण जोहरच्या चित्रपटातील कॉलेज असतं ना अगदी तसंच..

मुलं गेटमधून वेगाने गाड्या आत घेत, मुली त्यांच्याकडे बघून इशारे करत..

हिरोगीरी करत मुलं मुलींना मागे बसवत..

बाई बाई बाई…

ती पटकन आत गेली,

विचारत विचारत वर्गापाशी पोचली,

वर्गात कुणीही नव्हतं,

तिने एकाला विचारलं,

आज वर्ग होणार नाही का?

तसा मुलींचा एक ग्रुप हसायला लागला..

“इथे कधीच वर्ग होत नसतो, सगळे बंक करतात..आठवड्यातून एखाद्या वेळी होतो वर्ग…”

ती त्या मुलींच्या घोळक्यात गेली, त्यांच्याशी मैत्री करायला..

नाव वगैरे सांगितलं..

मुलींनी हाय हॅलो केलं,

पण तिची ओळख करून घेण्यात कुणाला फारसा इंटरेस्ट नव्हता..

ती त्यांच्या गप्पा ऐकू लागली,

“You know, मानव जस्ट पिंगड् मी येस्टरडे…काल त्याने मला पिंग केलेलं…”

“खरंच? अगं कसला दिसतो तो..काय म्हणाला?”

“तो काही बोलायच्या आतच मी म्हणाले, डेट वर नेण्यासाठी विचारत असशील तर हो आहे माझं..”

“मग काय, उद्या जातोय…”

“ओहह…” सगळ्या मुली एकसारख्या ओरडू लागल्या…

पण तिच्यासाठी हे भयानक होतं,

तिला अकरावीचे दिवस आठवले,

एक मुलगा तिच्या मैत्रिणीकडे सारखा बघायचा,

एके दिवशी त्याने फक्त हाय म्हटलं तर ही रडू लागली,

दुसऱ्या दिवशी कॉलेजमध्ये तिचे वडील, मास्तर आणि तो मुलगा…धुमासान…

तिला हसू आलं..

किती फरक आहे ना…

तेवढ्यात मुली बोलल्या,

यावेळी किंग ऑफ द इअर कोण जिंकेल? काय वाटतं?
