श्रद्धा तिच्या डब्याची आणि नोकरीवर जायची सोय लावून ठेवते…सासूबाई श्रद्धा च्या बोलण्यात अडकून ती सांगेल तसं करत होत्या..

श्रद्धा ने घरात एकेकाच्या सवयी पहिल्या…केतन आणि त्याचे वडील स्वतःचं कुठलंच काम स्वतः करत नव्हते…अगदी स्वतःची चादर घडी करून सुद्धा ठेवत नव्हते…किचन मध्ये कुणी पाय ठेवत नव्हतं, साधा चहा सुद्धा दोघांपैकी कुणी बनवत नसायचं…सासूबाई सर्व स्वतः करत असायच्या…

श्रद्धा खोलीत बसलेली असते, बाहेरून आवाज येतो..

“दादा..काही बोलूच नको तू..लग्नाला आला नाहीस तू केतन च्या..”

“अगं ताई खरंच ट्रेनिंग ला गेलेलो गं. आणि ती खूप महत्त्वाची होती…असो…लग्नाचा अलबम आला का? दाखव तरी फोटो..”

“अजून नाही आला…एक काम कर, आमच्या लग्नाचा अलबम बघ…मी तोवर सुनेला बोलवून आणते.फार धार्मिक आहे बर माझी सून….” श्रद्धा ने आजवर काय काय केलं, मला कसे उपाय सांगितले हे सर्व सासूने भावाला सांगितलं..

श्रद्धा सगळं ऐकत असते…सासूबाईंचा भाऊ आलाय हे तिच्या लक्षात येतं… ती बाहेर येते..

“दळवी सर????”

“श्रद्धा???”

दळवी सरांना श्रद्धा ने कसं गुंडाळलं होतं हे सरांना अजूनही लक्षात होतं..कारण त्या प्रसंगानंतर त्यांना सत्य समजलं होतं… पण श्रद्धा चा समाचार कसा घेणार, तोवर तिचं कॉलेज संपलं होतं.

“तुम्ही ओळखता हिला??”

“माझी विद्यार्थीनी होती..चांगलाच ओळखतो मी हिला..”

“बरं बसा तुम्ही गप्पा मारत, मी अलबम आणते..”

सासूबाई आत जातात तसे दळवी सर श्रद्धा ला म्हणतात…

“आता तुझी पोलखोल करतो थांब..कॉलेज मध्ये मला गुंडाळतेस काय….ताईने सांगितलं मला, तू तिला काय काय भरवलस ते…ताई बिचारी भोळी, पण मला समजलं..तू हे सगळं करून तिला गुंडाळतेय ते…थांब आता तू बघच…”

सासूबाई बाहेर येतात, भावाच्या हातात अलबम देतात आणि श्रद्धा ला म्हणतात…

“श्रद्धा बघ तुही…आमच्या लग्नात फार मोठी गम्मत झालेली बघ…केतन च्या वडिलांना मिळालेले पैशाचे पाकिटं कुणीतरी चोरले…आणि एकच गोंधळ उडालेला..एका निळ्या पिशवीत होती पाकिटं आणि नंतर गायब..”

“बरं ताई.. तुला माहितीये का…”

“ऐका ना मामा…आपण बोलू.. नंतर..”

श्रद्धा मामांना थांबवत म्हणाली, तिला पेच पडलेला…यांना कसं आवरावं म्हणून…

“थांब मी दुसरा अलबम आणते.”

सासूबाई पुन्हा आत निघून जातात…

“घाबरली का?”

दळवी सर म्हणाले..

श्रद्धा गप होती…तिचं लक्ष अलबम मधल्या एका फोटोकडे जातं… अन ती हसते….

सासूबाई येतात…

“हा दादा काय म्हणत होतास?”

“मामा म्हणत होते की तुम्ही अलबम नीट पाहिलाय का?”

दळवीं सरांना कळेना ही काय म्हणाली मधेच…

श्रद्धा ने अलबम मधून एक फोटो काढला..आणि मामांसमोर धरला…

मामांनी खिशातून रुमाल काढला आणि प्रचंड घाबरले…

“मी म्हणत होतो की…तुझी सून फार चांगली आहे…माझी student होती… फार निरागस आणि मनमिळाऊ…कधी कुणाच्या वाटेला गेली नाही…आणि कुणाला वेड्यात तर काढलंच नाही..”

त्या एका फोटोने दळवी सरांना घामच फुटलेला…काय होतं त्या फोटोत??

त्यात एका ठिकाणीं पंगतीत जेवायला बसलेल्या सर्वांचा फोटो होता..आणि फोटोत मागे एका हिरो होंडा गाडीच्या डिकीत एक माणूस निळी पिशवी कोंबत होता…दळवी सरच होते ते…बहिणीच्या लग्नात हात मारणारे…चित्र लहान असल्याने कुणी इतकं निरखून पाहिलं नव्हतं पण श्रद्धा च्या ते बरोबर लक्षात आलेलं….दळवी सर घाबरले..

“सासूबाई ..तो तिसरा अल्बम पण आना की..”

“हो आणते..”

आता श्रद्धा दळवी सरांना धारेवर धरते…

“माझ्या सत्यापेक्षा तुमचं सत्य फार कटू आहे सर…बोला काय करायचं??”

“माफ कर…पण हे कुणाला कळू देऊ नको..हा फोटो गायब कर..”

“एका अटीवर..”

“आता काय..”

“मी जे सांगेन ते आईंना सांगायचं…बस..”

“बरं… बोल काय सांगू??”

श्रद्धा च्या डोक्यात काहीतरी शिजत असतं.. ती मामांना काहीतरी सांगते, मामा सासूबाईंना सांगतो आणि त्यानंतर घराचं रूपच पलटतं…

मामा दोघींचा निरोप घेतात…

“आई, हे लहानपणापासून असे होते का?”

“असे म्हणजे..”

“म्हणजे…असे….बोलके…”

“अगं फार आगाऊ होता..वडिलांचा फार मार खायचा तो…अभ्यास करायचा नाही…शेवटी पैसे भरून एका ठिकाणी शिक्षक म्हणून लावलं त्याला..”

“तरीच…”

“काय तरीच??”

“काहीतरीच….किती हुशार होते सर…जाऊद्या…चहा ची वेळ झाली…मी आणते..”

“नको नको..आजपासून मी तुला सगळं हातात देणार…तुला काय हवं ते सांग फक्त..”

“अहो आई काहीपण काय..”

“हो..खरंच.. आणि केतन ला आणि त्याचा वडिलांनाही सांगते.. घरी आल्यावर स्वतःच्या हाताने पाणी घ्यायचं, चहा स्वतःचा स्वतः करायचा…तुला किंवा मला सांगायचं नाही..”
