इकडे तिने आपल्या नणंदबाईंना पाणी दिलं, लगेच चहा ठेवला आणि भजीही काढली,

नणंदबाई मस्त ढेकर देऊन खोलीत आराम करायला गेल्या,

सासुबाई देवपूजा करून बाहेर आल्या,

सूनबाईला विचारलं,

“दीदी कुठे आहे?”

खोलीत गेल्या आराम करायला,

सासुबाई खोलीकडे जायला निघाल्या,जाताना सूनबाईला म्हणाल्या,

“काय मुलगी आहे…पाणी आण गं तिला, आणि चहा पण ठेव लगेच”

हे ऐकताच सुनबाईचा चेहरा उतरला,

तिने काहीही उत्तर दिलं नाही,

“अगं ऐकलं का..”

“हो..”

ती एवढंच म्हणाली,

खोलीत गेल्यावर पाहिलं तर ती झोपून गेलेली,

सासुबाई बाहेर आल्या, चहा नाश्त्याची प्लेट बघून म्हणाल्या,

“अगं तिला काढून ठेव बाजूला थोडं”

सुनबाई काहीही बोलली नाही,

सासरेबुवा सगळं बघत होते, त्यांना सगळं समजलं,

संध्याकाळी ते सासूबाईंना घेऊन देवळात गेले, जातांना बायकोला म्हणाले,

“आपण जातोय तर सोबत दोन फुलं घे देवळात ठेवायला”

सासुबाई दरवेळी फुलं नेत,

पण आज सासरेबुवा स्वतःहून म्हणाले त्याचं त्यांना हसू आलं,

देवळात गेल्यावर ते म्हणाले,

“हे बघ, इथे चप्पल काढ..देवाला फुलं ठेव आणि नमस्कार कर”

सासुबाई त्यांच्याकडे बघतच राहिल्या,

घरी आल्यावर सर्वांची जेवणं झाली, जेवण झाल्यावर चक्कर मारायला जायचं आणि घरी येऊन गोळ्या घेऊन झोपून जायचं हा सासूबाईंचा दिनक्रम..

सासरेबुवा म्हणाले,

“जेवण करून दोन चक्कर मारून ये, आल्यावर गोळ्या घे आणि झोप..”

सासुबाई आता मात्र चिडल्या,

“काय लावलंय हे? माझी रोजची कामं आहेत आणि मला माहिती आहे सगळं..देवळात जाताना फुलं न्यायची, चप्पल कुठे काढायची, नमस्कार कुठे करायचा, चक्कर केव्हा मारायची,गोळ्या केव्हा घ्यायच्या आणि केव्हा झोपायचं हे मला काय सांगताय? वेगळं आहे का मला हे? माझी रोजचीच तर कामं आहेत..”

“समजतंय ना तुला? मग वळत कसं नाही”

“म्हणजे?”

“म्हणजे 20 वर्षांपासून सुनबाई घरातलं बघतेय, पाहुणे आल्यावर चहा नाष्टा देणं, घरातील बाकीची कामं करणं हे नवीन आहे का तिला? रोजचीच कामं आहेत तिची आणि सगळी कामं काटेकोरपणे ती करते, तरी तिला प्रत्येक गोष्ट का सांगत बसते तू?”
