प्रत्येकवेळी घरी भेटायला आलेल्या नवऱ्याच्या मित्रांची नजर तिला खटकायची, कितीतरी वेळा तिने दुर्लक्ष केलं पण माणसाची नजर स्त्रीच्या नजरेत लगेच लक्षात येते. सई सारखी सोज्वळ, पतिव्रता आणि घरंदाज स्त्री हे पाहून हैराण होते. बरं एकच नाही, सर्वच जण एका वेगळ्याच नजरेने तिच्याकडे बघत. तिने नवऱ्याच्या कानावर एकदा घातलं असता त्यानेच तिला गैरसमज म्हणून शांत केलं.
एके दिवशी मिस्टर ऑफिसला गेले असता दारावरची बेल वाजली, तिने दार उघडलं तेव्हा नवऱ्याचा मित्र सागर घरी आलेला. तोंडाला दारूचा वास येत होता, तिने आत घेतलं नाही तरी तो बळजबरी आत शिरला.
“हे बघा, नितीन घरी नाहीयेत, ते आले की या..”
“पण तू आहेस की घरी, तुझ्यासाठीच आलोय..”
सई घाबरली, तिने त्याला बाहेर काढण्याचा प्रयत्न केला पण सगळं व्यर्थ.
“अशी काय करतेस, हे काही पहिल्यांदाच करतेय का तू?”
“म्हणजे?”
“तू कोण आहेस हे कळलं आहे मला..लाजू नकोस, तुझ्या नवऱ्याला नाही सांगणार मी..”
“तुम्ही वाटेल ते बोलताय..आत्ताच्या आत्ता इथून जा नाहीतर मी आरडा ओरडा करेन..”
मित्र चिडतो, त्याच्या मोबाईल मध्ये काही व्हिडीओ तो तिला दाखवतो आणि म्हणतो..
“मग हे काय आहे?? हा??”
व्हिडीओ बघून सईला चक्करच येते, ती प्रचंड घाबरते, अंगाला दरदरून घाम फुटतो..धीर करत त्या मित्राला घराबाहेर हकलते आणि दार लावून आत रडत बसते. मोबाईल मध्ये एका साईट वर तिचे फोटो मोर्फिंग करून अश्लील व्हिडीओ बनवण्यात आले होते, कुणीतरी हे पाहिलं अन मित्रांच्या ग्रुप मध्ये ते शेयर केलेलं, बघता बघता ते व्हिडीओ जवळपास सर्व मित्रांच्या मोबाईल मध्ये आले आणि त्यांच्या नजरेमागे असलेलं कारण तिला आज समजलं. आयुष्यात कधी कुणा मुलाकडे बघितलं नाही, नवऱ्याला पूर्णपणे समर्पित केलं अन त्याचं असं फळ? सई आतून पूर्ण कोसळते, दिवसभर विचार करून डोक्याचा भुगा झालेला असतो. अखेर विचारांती ती दोर घेते अन फास घ्यायला निघते, दोर अडकवताच नितीन तिला पकडतो अन किंचाळतो..
“हे काय करतेय??”
दोर सोडवून नितीन तिला खाली उतरवतो,
“सोड मला जाऊदे. जगून काही उपयोग नाही आता..”
नितीन चक्रावतो, सगळं काही आलबेल असताना हे काय मधेच??
“काय झालंय? मी कुठे चुकलो का?”
“सांगण्यासारखं नाहीये नितीन..तुझं आयुष्य माझ्यामुळे बरबाद झालं..”
अखेर खूप खोदून विचारल्यानंतर सई नितीनला सत्य सांगते, नितीन ऐकून हैराण होतो, घरी आलेल्या मित्राबद्दल त्याला चीड येते आणि हे सगळं झालंच कसं या विचारात तो पडतो.
परिस्थितीला सावरून घेत तो तडक सायबरला तक्रार करतो आणि मग सत्य उघडकीस येते.. सई कॉलेजला तिचा फोन चोरीला गेला होता, जुनाच फोन म्हणून त्यांनी तक्रार न देता शोध घेतला नाही, पण फोन ज्याने चोरला त्याने त्यातील फोटो चोरून त्याचा गैरवापर केला होता. पोलिसांनी शोध घेऊन ते व्हिडीओ तात्काळ डिलीट करायला लावले अन गुन्हेगारांना बेड्या घातल्या. घरी आलेल्या मित्रालाही पोलिसांच्या स्वाधीन केलं, बाकीच्या मित्रांनी गैरसमज दूर करून नितीनची माफी मागितली.
नवऱ्याचा बायकोवर असलेला विश्वास, कठीण प्रसंगी दाखवलेला संयम आणि वेळीच केलेली कारवाई.. यामुळे सईचा जीव वाचला..नाहीतर हे असलं पाहून एखाद्याने काय केलं असतं विचार न केलेलाच बरा..
