तिच्या शेजारीच तिचा नवरा आणि सासू फळं मांडून बसलेले..

आईने तिच्याकडून भाजीपाला घेतला,

तिथून एका दुकानात गेले, अगरबत्ती घेतली आणि घरी जायला निघाले,

भाजीपाला घेताच त्या बाईच्या चेहऱ्यावर आनंद दिसत होता,

पण पैसे येताच तिचा नवरा तिच्याकडे आला आणि पैसे काढून घेतले,

ती काही करू शकत नव्हती,

केतकी आणि आई बाबा बस स्टॉप वर जायला निघाले,

तोच आईच्या लक्षात आलं,

साड्यांची पिशवी? कुठे गेली?

आई घाबरली,

वडिलांना सांगितलं..

वडीलही टेन्शनमध्ये,

आईलाच बोलू लागले,

पुन्हा सर्वजण मार्केटमध्ये शिरले,

पिशवी शोधू लागले,

बस्त्याच्या साड्या, कितीतरी महागड्या .

त्या हरवणं परवडणारं नव्हतं..

सगळं मार्केट पालथं घातलं,

ज्या ज्या ठिकाणी गेलेले सगळं विचारलं,

कुठेच मिळेना…

आईला आठवलं,

भाजीपाला घेताना कदाचित पिशवी खाली ठेवली असावी…

आई त्या बाईकडे गेली,

“व ताई, इथे साड्यांची पिशवी राहिलेली, पाहिली का?”

“नाही ओ ताई, कुठलीही पिशवी नाही इथे..”
