यावेळी दिवाळीत सासरी जातांना अनुराधाच्या मनात वेगळंच चलबिचल होती.

चलबिचल पेक्षा जास्त तिला काळजी वाटत होती आशा ची.

आशा, तिची धाकली जाऊ,

वर्षभरापूर्वीच दिराचं लग्न झालेलं आणि आशा लक्ष्मीच्या पावलांनी घरी आली होती.

तिचा पायगुणच म्हणायचा,

ती आली आणि अनुराधाच्या नवऱ्याला मोठी जॉब ऑफर आली आणि त्यानिमित्ताने ते मोठ्या शहरात स्थायिक झाले.

सासरचं घर त्यांना सोडावं लागलं.

एकीकडे घर सोडण्याचं दुःखं होतंच पण दुसरीकडे स्वातंत्र्याचं समाधानही होतं.

खान्या पिण्याचे नेहमी वेगळे लाड, बाहेरचं चालायचं नाही, तिचा पूर्ण दिवस स्वयंपाक आणि घरातली कामं करण्यात जाई.

सून आली म्हणून सासूने निवृत्ती घेतली असली तरी सासूचा घरातल्या प्रत्येक कामात न वस्तूत जीव अडकलेला,
