संपत्तीचा बराच हिस्सा आहे त्यांच्याकडे, त्यातला थोडा वापरून खर्च करा..

पण तिन्ही भावांनी हात वर केले,

संपत्ती सगळी विकून बसले होते,

सगळं मनीषाच्या नवऱ्यावर येऊन पडलं..

तिच्या नवऱ्याला पश्चाताप झाला,

आपणही समान हिस्सा मागायला हवा होता,

पण आता उपयोग नव्हता,

चांगली नोकरी अन पगार असून सगळं कर्जाच्या हफत्यात जायचं..

मुलाची शाळेची फी परवडेनाशी झाली,

तो म्हणाला,

दुसऱ्या शाळेत टाकू,

मुलगा हुशार होता, चांगल्या शाळेत नंबर काढत होता,

दुसऱ्या शाळेत म्हणजे कमी सोयी आणि संधी असलेल्या शाळेत टाकायचं त्याने ठरवलं..

आता मात्र ती चिडली,

सर्वांचं करत करत स्वतःच्या पोराचं नुकसान कशासाठी?

तिने विरोध केला..

भावांना हफ्ता भरायला सांगा म्हणाली,

त्याने ऐकलं नाही,

स्वतःचा संसार असूनही त्याचा जीव अजूनही भावंडात,

ते चुकीचं नाही,

पण त्यांची मुलं मोठ्या शाळेत,

आणि आपलं हुशार असून साध्या शाळेत,

ते काही नाही,

आपल्या हक्कासाठी लढायचं,

नवऱ्याशी भांड भांड भांडली,

त्याचा संताप अनावर झाला,

त्याच्या नाकर्तेपणावर तिने बोट दाखवला अन त्याचा अहंकार दुखावला गेला..

त्याने तिच्या कानशिलात लगावली,

ती शांत झाली,

तिच्यावर होत असलेल्या अन्यायाची ही पराकाष्ठा होती,

पण ऐन मध्यरात्री जाणार कुठे?

दोन दिवस थांबली,

नवऱ्याला कसलाही पश्चाताप नव्हता,

माहेरी जायला निघाली,

घरी बाकीच्यांना वाटलं नेहमीप्रमाणे जातेय,

नवरा बायकोच्या भांडणाची झळ नको घरच्यांना,

म्हणून गप राहिली..

मात्र आता माहेरी सगळं खरं सांगणार,

नवऱ्याला माझ्या माहेरच्यांना जाब विचारलायला लावेन,
