“आई, अगं सगळं नाही पण किमान जेवण तरी नीट बनवावं एवढीच अपेक्षा आहे माझी..कित्येकदा मीच ऑफिसमधून थकून आल्यावर भाजी टाकायचो,तिला चार पोळ्या लाटायलाही कंटाळा येतो.. बरं तेही जाऊदे, सकाळी चहाचा कप संध्याकाळी मी येतो तोवर तिथेच असतो..किमान नीटनेटकं राहावं अन घरही नीट ठेवावं ना..तिला जॉब वर जॉईन व्हायला अजून अवकाश आहे, तिचं काम सुरू झालं की दोघे मिळून कामं वाटून घेणारच आहोत आम्ही, पण ती काहीही करायला तयार नाहीये”

एका दमात त्याने सगळं बोलून टाकलं,

आईने त्याला समजावलं,

“बाळा आत्ताच्या मुलींना सवय नसते कामाची, हळूहळू होईल बरोबर”

उगाच तिच्याबद्दल वाईट बोलून दोघांमध्ये भांडणं लावायची नव्हती आईला…

“अगं आई मी तोही विचार केला, पण दिवसेंदिवस तिचा आळशीपणा वाढतच चाललाय”

“ठीक आहे मी बघते..”

“तू काय बघणार आई तिकडून?”

आई हसली आणि फोन ठेऊन दिला..

तो घरी गेला,

नेहमीप्रमाणे घरभर पसारा दिसला, त्याने काही न बोलता आवरायला सुरवात केली,

तिने पाहिलं, म्हणाली..

“कशाला आवरतोस उगाच? उद्या मावशी येऊन साफ करतील ना सगळं, तू कशाला दमतोय?”

“अगं त्या येतीलच, पण त्यांची वाट बघत आपण असं अस्ताव्यस्त राहायचं का? बरं, जेवणाचं काय आहे आज?”

“अजून काही ठरलं नाही, आज कंटाळाच आलाय मला, भूक पण नाही, पिझ्झा मागवूया का?”

तो काही न बोलता आत गेला, फ्रेश झाला, स्वतः किचनमध्ये गेला,

आईने त्याला सगळं शिकवलं होतं, त्यामुळे अडचण नव्हती..

त्याने भेंडी चिरली, कणिक मळलं..

तो करत असतांना ती काहीशी ओशाळली, पुढे होत म्हणाली,

“सरक, मी फोडणी देते..पोळ्या पण करून घेते”

त्याला हायसं वाटलं,

त्या दिवशी ती जेवत असतांना तिच्याकडे बघतच राहिला तो, अधशासारखं जेवणावर ताव मारत होती, घरचं असं जेवण फार दिवसांनी करत होती ना..त्याला हसू आलं..

पण पुन्हा दुसऱ्या दिवशी पहिले पाढे पंचावन्न..

रविवारचा दिवस होता, तो उठून अंघोळीला जायला निघाला..त्याला माहित होतं की ही आज 10 शिवाय उठणार नाही,
