माधवी त्या जोडप्यातील स्त्री च्या गळ्यातील सोन्याची चेन काढते, अन त्या मालकाला देते…

“ही चेन आहे 6000 ची…उरलेले 2000 परत द्या..”

दुर्गा बाई माधवी ला सांगत असतात,

“आणि हो…स्वयंपाक शिक…सध्या मला मदत कर फक्त…”

“चल आज खजुराची चटणी बनवायची आहे…हे घे खजूर आणि बिया काढून मला आणून दे..”

दुर्गा बाई कपाळावर हात मारून घेतात..

“अगं बाई शब्दशः अर्थ घ्यायचा असतो का..”

माधवी च्या कानावर ते पडतं… काय करायला हवं तिने? भांडायला हवं होतं? उलट उत्तर द्यायला हवं होतं की गपचुप ऐकून घ्यायला हवं होतं?

माधवी आईला फोन लावते…

“आई तू मला काही शिकवलं का नाहीस??”

दुर्गा बाई घाबरत बाहेर येतात…माधवी कडून फोन हिसकावून बोलतात…

“काही नाही ताई…गम्मत…” असं म्हणत फोन ठेऊन देतात..

“अगं ए…आमच्यात भांडण लावतेस का आता..”

“तुम्हाला म्हणालात ना, आईने शिकवायला हवं होतं… मग मी तेच आईला विचारलं, की शिकवलं का नाहीस?? सिम्पल…”
