आकाश आणि क्रांती चे डोळे खाडकन उघडले.. त्यांना जे समजायचं ते समजलं..आणि यापुढे शिक्षणाचा महत्वाचा काळ त्यांनी वाया न घालवायचं ठरवलं…

वर्गात विद्या ने एक दिवस सरप्राईज टेस्ट ठेवली, त्यात मुलांना जास्त काही उत्तरं लिहिता आली नाही..तेव्हा तिला समजलं की math मध्ये फॉर्म्युला पाठ करायला ही मुलं आळशीपणा करताय…math मध्ये फॉर्म्युला हे सगळ्यात महत्त्वाचं शस्त्र…ते पाठ असले की math अगदी सोपं बनतं .

दुसऱ्या दिवशी..

“सर्वांनी वहि चा एक कागद फाडा, त्यावर प्रत्येकाने ट्रीगोनोमेट्री चा एक फॉर्म्युला लिहा आणि तुमच्या बेंच वर तो चिटकवा…”

मुलांनी विद्या ने सांगितल्याप्रमाणे केलं…प्रत्येकाच्या बेंच वर एक फॉर्म्युला होता, असे 60 फॉर्मुले बेंच वर लिहिले गेले..

“आता रोज सर्वांनी आपली जागा रोटेट करायची….अशाने प्रत्येकाला प्रत्येक बेंच वर बसायला मिळेल..आणि तो पूर्ण दिवस त्या बेंचवर जो फॉर्म्युला लिहिला आहे तो पाठ करायचा…”

मुलांना एक फॉर्म्युला पाठ करायला एक पूर्ण दिवस मिळाला…त्यामुळे पाठ करणं अगदी सोपं गेलं..दिवसातून कित्येकदा डेस्क वर लक्ष जायचं आणि नकळत तो फॉर्म्युला आपोआप तोंडपाठ होऊ लागला…

विद्या च्या अश्या वेगवेगळ्या उपक्रमांमुळे विद्यार्थ्यांना नव्या पद्धतीने शिक्षण मिळत होतं… आणि त्यांना ते आवडू लागलेलं… math ज्यांना किचकट वाटायचा तेही आता math मध्ये रुची घेऊ लागले होते…

वर्गात असताना विद्या ला अचानक एक फोन आला…ती बाहेर गेली…परत वर्गात आली तेव्हा तिच्या चेहऱ्यावर एक प्रचंड मोठी निराशा दिसत होती… मॅडम चे बदललेले हावभाव मुलांच्याही लक्षात आलेले..
