“तुला कसं कळलं की सगळं अव्यवस्थित आहे ते??”

“आपल्याहून दुःखी माणसं जगात आहेत, ती जगताय की..”

“सगळेच धीट नसतात, माझ्यासारखी कमजोर माणसंही असतात काही..”

“कमजोर अन तुम्ही? साहेब, तुम्ही, मी अन चराचर विश्वाचा बाप जो आहे ना, तो आत बसलाय आपल्या..आपण त्या बापाची पोरं,  कमजोर नाही आपण..”

“बाप? कोणता??”

“नावापुढे लावतो तो आपला जैविक बाप..पण आपल्याही बापाला, त्याच्या बापाला अन सर्वांच्याच बापाला, समग्र सृष्टीला पोसणारा तो बाप..ईश्वर..”

“मी काही देव बिव मानत नाही बुवा..”

“चांगुलपणा मानता ना??”

“हो मग..”

“मग तोच देव..चांगुलपणा, दुसऱ्याकडे बघण्याची भावदृष्टी, तत्व, मूल्य हाच देव. कुणी तो मूर्तीत बघतो कुणी माणसात बघतो..”

“अरे हा कुठला रस्ता आहे? मला मुंबईला जायचं आहे..”

“हा लांब वळणाचा रस्ता आहे साहेब”

“अरे पण शॉर्ट कट रस्ता घ्यायचा की..”

“शॉर्ट कट रस्त्याने लवकर पोहोचू साहेब, पण रस्ता लय वंगाळ, अंधारात कुणिबी रस्त्यात येईल..लाईटपण नाही तिथे..रस्ता लांबचा असला तरी चालंल..पण कुणाला ईजा नको..”

“बरं बाबा.”

“खऱ्याचा रस्ता अवघड वळणाचाच असतो साहेब, किती लोकांना त्यांच्या स्थानी पोहोचवलं आहे मी..अगदी सुखरूप..”

“माझी भाषा समजायला अवघड आहे, पण एकदा समजली की तो कधीच मागे वळून बघत नाही बघा..मागे असंच एकदा पार्थ नावाचा माणूस आलेला…पार अंग टाकून दिलेलं पोराने..त्याला असा दम दिला की “बघतोच आता एकेकाला” म्हणत तावातावात निघून गेला..”

केशव आणि सारंगच्या गप्पा चांगल्याच रंगल्या..अखेर घर आलं अन सारंग उतरला. त्याने केशवला टीप देऊ केली..केशव हसू लागला..

“पत्रं पुष्पम फुलं तोयम..” असा मंत्र म्हणत हसत हसत त्याने ते स्वीकारलं. जाता जाता एवढंच म्हणाला..

“साहेब..स्वतःच्या आयुष्याचा विचार करण्यापेक्षा दुसऱ्यांच्या आयुष्याचा अभ्यास करा..”

काहीही न समजता सारंग फक्त स्मितहास्य करत निघून गेला.

घरी येताच दाराशी त्याचे 3-4 मित्र उभे..

“काय रे कुठे होतास? फोनही उचलत नव्हतास.”

“काय झालं? सगळे अचानक इथे??”

“कुलुप उघड..आत जाऊन बोलू..”

आत गेल्यावर सर्वजण बसले..

“मी आत्ता आलोय, जरा फ्रेश होऊन येतो..”

सर्वजण सारंगची वाट बघत हॉल मध्ये बसले.सारंग विचार करत होता, हे अचानक का आले असावेत? काय झालं असेल?

सारंग आवरून त्यांच्यासमोर बसतो.

“बोला…कसं येणं केलंत??”

“कंपनीने आम्हा तिघांना नोकरीवरून काढून टाकलं रे…”

“अचानक??”

“होय..काहीही कारण नसताना कंपनीचा लॉस होतोय हे कारण देऊन आम्हाला quit करायला सांगितलंय..”

“म्हणजे मलाही..”

“नाही..तुला काढणं शक्य नाही, अमन वर्मा आलेला..त्याला नवीन टीम सेट करायची आहे, करोडो रुपये देणार आहे तो..”

“अमन वर्मा मला काही चांगला माणूस वाटत नाहीये, स्वतःच्या स्वार्थासाठी तो माणसांना विकत घेऊ पाहतोय..”

“म्हणजे??”

“होय..राजीनामा देणार..”

“अरे पण..”

“मला समजवू नका प्लिज..माझा निर्णय पक्का आहे..”

मित्र उठले, एकजण जाता जाता म्हणाला..
