रेखाताई डोक्याला हात लावून बसल्या,

काय विचार केलेला अन काय होऊन बसलं..

तेव्हा नुकतंच शेजारच्या गाण्याचं लग्न झालं होतं,

त्याची बायको सकाळी 9 वाजता स्कुटरला किक मारून बाहेर पडतांना दिसली, रेखाताईंना राहवलं नाही, त्या तडक गाण्याच्या आईकडे गेल्या,

“काय हो, सकाळी सकाळी कुठे गेली तुमची सून?”

“नोकरी वर जाते, माझ्या मुलाने त्याच्याच पसंतीची शोधून आणलीय, गुणाची आहे हो पोर…त्यांच्या पसंतीचा आम्ही मान राखला म्हणून आमचा मान ते दोघे राखताय,जबाबदारीने वागताय, माझी सून बघा..नोकरीवर जायचं म्हणून सकाळी लवकर उठून, स्वैपाक, झाडझुड करून गेली कामावर..संध्याकाळी आल्यावर परत कामाला लागणार, आणि वर माझ्या हातात पगारातले काही पैसेही देणार, तुम्हाला सांगते रेखाताई, फार फरक पडतो हो असे जास्तीचे पैसे हातात असले की”
