“होका??? बरं झालं सांगितलं, आम्हाला हे शिकवलंच नाही..”

दोघीही हसायला लागतात..

“ती काय टेरेस मध्ये फोनवर बोलतेय..”

शिल्पा तिला भेटायला जाते, फोनवर तिचं बोलणं काहीसं रोमँटिक असतं… शिल्पा ला समजतं की ही नक्की बॉयफ्रेंड सोबत बोलत असणार, तिच्याशी नंतर बोलू असा विचार करून शिल्पा आत जाते..

संध्याकाळी सर्वजण जेवायला बसतात…

ननंदबाई अक्षरा मोबाईल मधेच गुंतलेल्या असतात,मधेच खुदकन हसतात, ते पाहून शिल्पा म्हणते…

“अक्षरा तुला बरं नाहीये सांगितलं नाहीस?”

अक्षरा भानावर येते,

“काय गं? काही दुखतंय का?” आई विचारते..

“नाही गं आई..वहिनी तू डॉक्टर आहेस म्हणून तुला सगळे पेशंटच दिसतात वाटतं..”

रोशन ला तिचा रोख समजतो…

“काय गं अक्षु, काही आहे का??”

“काही आहे का म्हणजे? अक्षरा ला काय झालंय?” आई घाबरून विचारते…

“वहिनी…..!!! तुला माझा सगळा आजार नीट समजावून सांगते नंतर, शेवटी तुलाच ट्रीटमेंट करावी लागणार आहे याची…”

“हो आणि मी पोलीस आहे, मला चार ठिकाणी चौकश्या कराव्या लागतील..”

“काय चाललंय तुम्हा तिघांचं समजेल का?” आई वैतागून विचारते..

“काही नाही ओ आई…सहज आपली गंमत..”

जेवण उरकून सगळे आपापल्या खोलीत जातात, अक्षरा दार लावून बसली असते…आई खोलीचं दार वाजवते…अक्षरा दार उघडते…आई पटकन आत येऊन दार लावून घेते आणि अक्षरा चा हात धरून तिला बेडवर बसवते..

“अक्षरा, कोण आहे तो मुलगा?”

“कसला..कोणता..”

“अगं आई आहे मी….तुमच्या समोर लाख दाखवेल की मला काही समजत नाही ते…पण चार पावसाळे जास्त पाहिलेत मी…मला सांग सगळं..”

अक्षरा आईला सगळं सांगते, आणि मुलगाही दाखवते..

“अरे हा तर आपला मंक्या…”

“आई मानस नाव आहे त्याचं..”

“असेल तुझा मानस… मी मंक्या म्हणते याला..अगं माझी बालमैत्रीण शांता चा हा मुलगा…याच्याशीच तुझं लग्न व्हावं म्हणून आम्ही प्रयत्न करत होतो..”

“काय????”

“काय तू, मला सांगितलं असतं… डेटला चोरी छुपे जावं लागलं नसतं..”

एवढं म्हणत आई निघून जाते, अक्षरा मात्र आईच्या तोंडून “डेट” शब्द ऐकून हैराण होते…मनाशीच म्हणते…

इकडे शिल्पा च्या क्लिनिक मध्ये एक 35 वर्षाची स्त्री आपल्या 6 वर्षाच्या मुलाला घेऊन येते…

“त्या मुलाचं रुटीन पाहिलं…त्याला सगळं मिळत होतं पण आई वडिलांची सोबत, त्यांचं प्रेम, त्यांचा वेळ त्याला मिळत नव्हता…लहान मुलं प्रेमाचे भुकेले असतात…त्यांना जर ते मिळालं नाही तर ते चिडचिड करतात…आता बघा, त्या मुलाला त्याच्या आई वडिलांची सोबत जास्त वेळ मिळेल आणि त्याचा चिडचिडेपणा कसा कमी होतो ते…”
