 “दीड वर्ष संपलं आहे, अजितला बोलवूया भेटायला..”

“का गं? इतकी घाई?”

“अगं पेपर पाहिला का…त्याची IPS ऑफिसर मध्ये निवड झालीये, पेपरमध्ये फोटो आहे त्याचा… ट्रेनिंग साठी तो बाहेर जाईल, त्या आधीच उरकून टाकू तुमचं..”

निकिता हसायला लागते,

हीच आई काल म्हणत होती,

डिलिव्हरी बॉय तो, काय सांभाळणार तुला..

निकिता म्हणते, “बाबा, त्याचा नंबर द्या मला, तुम्ही बदलायला लावलेला ना? आणि तुमच्याकडे त्याचा नंबर ठेवलेला ना?”

वडिलांना पश्चाताप झाला, 

ही मुलं परत कधी भेटणार नाहीत ही त्यांना खात्री होती, त्यामुळे दोघांना मुद्दाम खोटं सांगितलेलं..

“माफ कर बेटा, माझ्याकडे नंबर तर नाही..”

आता त्याच्याशी संपर्क कसा करायचा?

इतक्यात बाबांचा फोन वाजतो..

“हॅलो मी अजित बोलतोय, दीड वर्ष संपलं आहे..”

आई बाबांना आनंद होतो…

निकिता पटकन फोन घेते,

दीड वर्षांनी एकमेकांचा आवाज ते ऐकतात…भावविभोर होतात..

क्षणभर काहीच बोलत नाहीत…

आईला प्रश्न पडतो,

सगळं ठीक आहे पण ते डिलिव्हरी बॉय म्हणून काम का केलेलं? आई फोन घेऊन त्याला विचारते..

“मावशी, मी अभ्यास करता करता पोटापाण्याचा प्रश्न सुटावा म्हणून हे काम करत होतो आणि माझा अभ्यास सुरू ठेवत होतो…”

आईला समजलं, इतका कष्टाळू मुलगा शोधूनही सापडणार नाही…आई वडिलांना समाधान वाटलं..

दोघांचं थाटामाटात लग्न होतं आणि एक प्रेमकथा पूर्ण होते..
