कसलीच अपेक्षा करायची नाही,

दगड बनून राहायचं,

तिला असं निगरगट्ट बघूनही नवऱ्याचं आणि सासूचं समाधान होईना,

कसला राग होता त्यांना कुणास ठाऊक,

तिला पूर्ण एकटं पाडलं,

जणू ती अस्तित्वातच नाही,

राहून राहून टोमणे,

नको ते शब्द,

नको ते वाक्य,

शेवटी असह्य झालं,

पुन्हा चेहऱ्यासमोर आई बापाचा चेहरा आला,

काय करावं कळेना,

देवासमोर अश्रू गाळत बसली,

“देवी माते आता तूच कौल दे, संसार चालवू की निघून जाऊ कायमची? तू सांगशील ते मला मान्य..”

असं म्हणत डोकं टेकलं,

देवी आईने कौल दिला,

तिच्या माथी कुंकू लागला,

संसारातून पळून जाऊ नकोस,

हेच देवी आई म्हणत होती,

ईच्छा नसून तिने तो कौल मान्य केला..

दिवस जात राहिले,

एके दिवशी अचानक सासरे आजारी पडले,

छातीत दुखू लागलं,

लगेच दवाखान्यात ऍडमिट केलं,

सासरे शांत स्वभावाचे,

सासुसमोर काही चालेना,

ट्रीटमेंट झाली,

सासरे बरे झाले, घरी आले..

पण ते हे सगळं घडून गेल्यावर बदलले होते,
