एकीकडे चॅनेल वाचवण्याचं आणि दुसरीकडे गावाकडच्या लोकांना तयार करण्याचं टेन्शन. सुरभीचं चित्त ठिकाणावर नव्हतं. घरी येताच आईने तिला काळजीचं कारण विचारलं,

“सुरभी? काय झालं गं?”

“खूप मोठा निर्णय देऊन आलीये मी आज”

“म्हणजे?”

“मी ऑफिसमध्ये गेले तेव्हा चॅनेल बंद करण्याचे सर्व सोपस्कार पूर्ण होत आलेले, मी त्यांना अडवलं आणि चॅनेलची जबाबदारी मी घेते असं सांगून तयार केलं. मोठ्या मुश्किलीने ते तयार झाले. आता पुढच्या सहा महिन्यात चॅनेलचा trp वर आला नाही तर माझ्यासकट सर्वांचे जॉब जातील, चॅनेल बंद पडेल”

आई हे ऐकून काळजीत पडली.

सुरभी फक्त हसते..

“आई, मी गावाकडे निघतेय.. गाडी बुक केलीये..1 तासात येईलच..मला जावं लागेल..”

सुरभी आता हट्टाला पेटलीये म्हणजे कुणालाच जुमाणणार नाही हे तिच्या लक्षात आलं. तिने सोबत काळी मिरी, भांड्यांचा साबण आणि एक डिश सोबत घेतली. आईने पटकन हाताला जो खाऊ लागेल तो बांधून दिला आणि तिला निरोप दिला. गावी फोन करून सुरभी येतेय असं कळवलं. सुरभी तिच्या चॅनेल मध्ये काम करणाऱ्या एका ज्युनियर ऍक्टर ला सोबत घेऊन जाते आणि काय काय करायचं आहे हे त्याला समजवते.

सर्व मंडळी काळजीत पडली, गाव सोडायचं म्हणजे त्यांच्यासाठी फार मोठं संकट होतं. गावातल्या चौकटीत त्यांचं आयुष्य सुखाचं चालू होतं. संघर्ष आणि या मंडळींचा काहीही संबंध नव्हता. शहरात जायचं म्हणजे संघर्ष करावा लागणार हे त्यांना माहीत होतं. त्यांना जाणीव झाली, की देवाने एक संधी दिली होती शहरात जायची पण आपणच तिला दूर लोटलं, सर्वांना सुरभी आठवली.

मग त्यांना समजतं की सुरभी इथेच आहे, ते तातडीने सुरभीला तिच्यासोबत येण्याचं आणि ती देईल ते काम करण्याचं मान्य करतात. आजीबाईंशी काही संपर्क होऊ शकला नाही त्यामुळे इतर मंडळीही शहराकडे रवाना झाले.
