“आवाज वाढव डीजे तुला आईची शपथ हाय…”

या डिजेवरील गाण्याच्या आवाजाने आणि त्यावर थिरकणाऱ्या सर्व मंडळींचा उत्साह अगदी भरभरून वाहत होता…का नाही वाहणार? त्यांच्या लाडक्या प्रथमेश चं लग्न होतं. आज हळदीचा कार्यक्रम, एकीकडे जेवणं चालू असताना दुसरीकडे नाचणारी मंडळी काही थांबायचं नावच घेत नव्हती.

अश्यातच कुणितरी विचारलं,

“मेघना कुठे आहे??”

मेघना प्रथमेश ची मोठी बहीण. लग्न होऊन 10 वर्ष झाली, तिसऱ्या वर्षीच अंकुर नावाचा गोंडस मुलगा झाला पण काही महिन्यांनीच तिचा नवरा मात्र काळाने हिरावून घेतला.

मेघना ने अंकुर साठी दुसऱ्या लग्नाला ठाम विरोध केला, ती एका ठिकाणी नोकरी करत होती आणि स्वाभिमानाने दुसरं घर घेऊन राहत होती.

तिचा नवरा जाऊन बरीच वर्षे झाली होती, पण ती मात्र सतत दुःखी असायची, एव्हाना तिने हे सगळं विसरून नव्याने आयुष्याचा आनंद घ्यायला हवा होता, पण तिला जरा कुठे आनंदी राहायची संधी आली की जुनं आठवून ती त्याकडे पाठ फिरवायची.

शोभना तिची मैत्रीण, तीही लग्नात आलेली, तिचाही नवरा एका अपघातात गेला होता. पण लग्नात मात्र ती मनसोक्त आनंद घेत होती, गाण्यावर मनसोक्त थिरकत होती. काहीजण तिच्यावर नको त्या कमेंट्स करायचे, काहीजण नावं ठेवायचे पण तिला मात्र पर्वा नव्हती.

मेघना इथे नाही बघून ती घरात तिला शोधायला गेली, मेघना एका खोलीत शांतपणे बसली होती..

“काय गं, बाहेर ये की नाचायला..”

“नाही गं… तुला तर माहितीये ना, मी आता कशातच सहभागी होत नाही ते..”

“हे बघ, तुझं दुःखं मला कळणार नाही असं तू बोलू शकत नाही ..किती दिवस तेच पकडून बसणार आता?”

पण डीजे च्या आवाजाने कुणालाही काहीही ऐकू जात नव्हतं…

बराच वेळ प्रयत्न करून अखेर मेघना बेडवर येऊन बसली..ती बसली तशी शोभना हसायला लागली अन हळूच दाराची कडी आतून उघडली, अन दरवाजा उघडला गेला..

“हे काय? अशी काय थट्टा केलीस?? कडी आतून लावली होती अन मी वेड्यासारखी बाहेरून मदत मागत होते..”
