 सासुबाई कडक स्वभावाच्या, रेवतीला कामाला जुंपून त्यांनी बेजार करून टाकलं होतं,

“आयुष्यात तुझ्या जावेचे उपकार कधीच विसरू नको , ज्या गोष्टी सांगायला तिने मला मनाई केलेली त्या आज सांगते…तुला निवडणुकीत उभं करावं म्हणून तुझ्या सासऱ्यांशी ती भांडली होती…तुला घरातली कामं करताना बघून ती गपचूप माझ्याजवळ येऊन मला ताकीद देई, मोठी सून म्हणून तिचं मी ऐकायचे, पण त्याचा कधी गैरफायदा घेतला नाही…ती स्वतः पोस्ट ग्रॅज्युएट असून कधी ती गोष्ट मिरवली नाही..काही माणसं कर्तृत्व सिद्ध करायला या जगात येतात, तर काही अश्या कर्तृत्ववान माणसांना घडवायला येतात…किंगमेकर होतात”

रेवतीच्या डोळ्यातून अश्रू वाहू लागले,

काही काळाने जाउबाई सुद्धा गेल्या,

जाता जाता रेवतीची माफी मागत होत्या,

“माझ्यामुळे तुला खूप त्रास झाला असेल, तुझी बाजू मी कधी घेतली नाही..पण लक्षात ठेव, हे सगळं फक्त तुझ्यासाठी होतं..राजकारण मी जवळून पाहिलं होतं,  संघर्षाची ओळख तुला घरापासूनच व्हावी , पुढे मोठमोठ्या संकटांना धीराने सामोरं जावं म्हणून तुला तयार करत होते..मला माफ कर, आणि खूप यशस्वी हो”

रेवती मंत्रीपदावर गेली, उत्तम काम केलं

 मोठमोठे निर्णय घेतांना, प्रतिस्पर्ध्याला सामोरं जातांना ती कधीच डळमळीत झाली नाही, 

त्या प्रत्येक क्षणाला तिला जाउबाई आठवत,
