अजरामर ….!!!

 झी मराठीच्या एका मालिकेत रवी पटवर्धन यांनी पहिल्याच दिवशी आपल्या दमदार अभिनयाने प्रेक्षकांच्या मनात घर केलं, आजोबा हे पात्र एका दिवसात लोकप्रिय झालं. नवीन पिढीसाठी हे पात्र नवीन असलं तरी मागील काही पिढ्यांसाठी रवी पटवर्धन नावाचं एक रसायन चांगलंच परिचयाचं.. जुन्या अजरामर मराठी चित्रपटात हे एक नाव हमखास असायचं. कमिशनर म्हटलं की आमच्या डोळ्यासमोर करारी नजर, उंच व्यक्तिमत्त्व आणि तडफदार बोलणं असलेले पटवर्धन सरच डोळ्यासमोर यायचे. 

कित्येक वर्षे मराठी चित्रपटसृष्टीचा अजरामर चेहरा म्हणून हे व्यक्तिमत्व ओळखीचं होतं, वयाची ऐंशी ओलांडल्यानंतरही मराठी मालिकांत तरुणाईला लाजवेल असं काम त्यांनी केलं.

“सोम्या…कोंबडीच्या..” या त्यांच्या डायलॉगने संपूर्ण महाराष्ट्र खळखळून हसला.. एखाद्या कलाकाराने अखेरच्या क्षणापर्यंत कलेला कसे वाहून द्यावे याचं मूर्तिमंत उदाहरण म्हणजे रवी पटवर्धन. कोरोना काळात त्यांनी काही काळ ब्रेक घेतला असला तरी काही दिवसांपूर्वी नवीन प्रकल्पांवर काम करण्याची तयारी त्यांनी दाखवली होती..त्यांनी दीडशेहून अधिक नाटकात आणि दोनशेहून अधिक चित्रपटात काम केले होते, नाट्यमहोत्सवात बालनात्यात अवघ्या साडेसहा वर्षाचे असतांना त्यांनी भूमिका केली होती..

1974 साली आरण्यक नाटकात त्यांनी धृतराष्ट्राची भूमिका केली होती, तेच नाटक 2018 मध्ये, जेव्हा त्यांचं वय 82 होते, तेव्हा पुन्हा तीच भूमिका त्यांनी वठवली. वयापरत्वे आलेल्या विस्मृतीच्या आजारावर त्यांनी स्वसंमोहन शास्त्र शिकून अनेक व्याधींवर मात केली..

वयाच्या ऐंशीव्या वर्षी भगवद्गीतेचे 700 श्लोक पाठ करून ते शृंगेरी मठाच्या परीक्षेला बसले. शंकराचार्यांनी घेतलेल्या त्या परीक्षेत रवी पटवर्धन पहिले आले.

काही माणसं हे जग सोडून तर जातात, पण त्यांच्या कार्याने जगाला एक प्रेरणा देऊन जातात..
