तोही काम आणि मित्र, यातच वेळ घालवू लागला..

हळूहळू दिवस सरत गेले,

सर्वजण आपापल्या कामात अडकले,

त्याचे मित्र संसारात अडकले, येणं जाणं बंद झालं…

तिच्याही घरचे मुलाच्या लग्नासाठी, तिच्या भावासाठी स्थळ शोधू लागले,

मिळणारी सहानुभूती कमी होऊ लागली,

पाहुणे आले की त्यांना उत्तरं द्यावी लागायची,

घरच्यांची चिडचिड होऊ लागली,

तिच्या आईकडून कामं होत नव्हती आता,

तिने सांगितलं, सकाळी लवकर उठून डब्याला मदत करत जा,

त्याच्या घरच्यांनी सांगितलं, पाहुणे आले की तुझ्या खोलीत बसत जा..

दोघांना बदल लक्षात येत होता,

ते दोघे सोडून कुणीही एकटं नव्हतं,

आईला बाबा सोबत होते, बहिणीला नवरा आणि भावाला त्याची बायको..

सगळं जग एका बाजूला झालं तरी एकेमकांचा त्यांना आधार होता,

त्यांना समजलं,

आयुष्यातलं रितेपण..

एकटेपणा सतावू लागला,

कुणीतरी हक्काचं असावं,

आई बाबांचा मुलगा आणि मुलगी म्हणून त्यांचं कर्तव्य दुय्यम, त्यांची प्राथमिकता संसाराला होती..

जे अगदी नैसर्गिक आहे,

दोघेही एकट्यात विचार करायचे,

“रागीट होती, पण माझ्याशी प्रामाणिक होती..राग पण संसारासाठीच तर होता तिचा..मी थोडी माघार घेतली असती तर..”

“आळशी होता, पण माणूस म्हणून चांगला होता, शुद्ध चारित्र्याचा होता..मी थोडं समजून घेतलं असतं तर?”

वाटायचं एक फोन करावा,

पण त्याने/तिने का नको?

म्हणून दोघे पुन्हा मागे हटायचे,
