अक्षता सासरी आली. घरात इतकी सारी मंडळी होती की रोज तिला पाहुणे आल्याचाच भास होई. तिच्या माहेरी इन मिन 3 लोकं. ती एकुलती एक. भावंडं नसल्याने एकटेपणाची सल तिच्या मनात होतीच, त्यामुळेच तिने हे एकत्र कुटुंब पसंत केलेलं.

सासूबाई अक्षताकडे आल्या,

“चला सुनबाई, आज तुमच्या हातची भाजी खायचिये सर्वांना…कुलिंग पिरेड पर्यंत कर काय करायचं ते..”

अक्षताने मान डोलावली, पण सासूबाई हे काय म्हटल्या? “कुलिंग पिरेड?” ही कसली भानगड??

ती स्वयंपाकघरात गेली आणि कामाला लागली. मनात धाकधूक होतीच. हळूहळू तिने कामाला सुरुवात केली. तेवढ्यात मोठ्या जाउबाई आल्या,

“काय बनवताय नवरीबाई?”

“बटाट्याची भाजी..”

“हम्म…कुलिंग पिरेड पर्यंत कर मजा.. तोवर मी पर्यायी भाजी टाकून ठेवते..”

परत तेच? सालं हे कुलिंग पिरेड काय भानगड आहे??

पण विचारावं तरी कसं? तिने नेट वर पाहिलं…
