“अहो ऐकलं का? नितीन येतोय आठवडाभर राहायला”

हे ऐकताच सुयशने नाक मुरडलं,

“काय झालं?”

हे ऐकून सुयश ओरडलाच,

“काय संबंध? मी माझी गाडी देणार नाही, आणि स्वयंपाक मी कशाला करू? फळं वगैरे तू आण.. मी काही करणार नाही..”

“मग रवीच्या वेळेस मीही असंच म्हणायला हवं होतं, नाही का?”

“रवी माझा भाऊ आहे”

“मग नितीन माझा भाऊ आहे, रवीला माझा सख्खा भाऊ समजून सगळं करायला हवं अशी तुमची अपेक्षा ना? मग मझ्या भावालाही तुम्ही तुमचाच भाऊ समजून वागवा..नाहीतर तुम्ही जसं नितीन सोबत वागाल तसंच मीही रवी सोबत वागेन”

सुयश पेचात पडला, पण नेहाने त्याला चांगलाच धडा शिकवला,

“काही नितीन बितीन येत नाहीये, मुद्दाम म्हणाले मी, मला बघायचं होतं तुम्ही कसं वागतात ते…तुमचा हा स्वभाव बदला, तुमच्या कुटुंबाला मी आपलंसं करावं असं वाटत असेल तर तुम्हालाही माझ्या कुटुंबाला जवळ करावं लागेल, नातं हे दोन्ही बाजूंनी समान हवं..आणि कितीही म्हटलं तरी आपल्या माणसांबद्दल असलेली ओढ ही नैसर्गिक असते..नात्यांमध्ये अवास्तव अपेक्षा का ठेवायची? भाऊ नसताना भाऊ मान, माझ्या आईला तुझी आई मान, माझ्या बहिणीला तुझी बहीण मान.. असं बळजबरीचं नातं लादायला का आवडतं तुम्हाला? जे ते नातं ज्या त्या ठिकाणी बरं… मी काही तुम्हाला नितीनला रवी समान प्रेम द्या असं म्हणणार नाही, कारण शेवटी रवी भाऊच, आणि नितीन सालाच. पण तुम्हीही अश्या अवास्तव अपेक्षा माझ्याकडून करायच्या नाहीत. आणि कर करायच्या असतील तर आधी स्वतः अंमलात आणायच्या आणि मग मला सांगायचं”

नेहाच्या या युक्तीवादावर सुयशचे पुरते डोळे उघडले..नाती काय असतात हे नेहाला तो समजवायला जात होता पण आज त्यालाच उपरती झाली.
