“तू कितीही बोलला तरी त्याचा स्वभाव बदलणार आहे का?”

ओमने निरोप घेतला ते गोंधळलेल्या मनानेच. त्याने तडक श्रेयसकडे मोर्चा वळवला.

श्रेयस त्याच्या आईसोबत नाष्टा करत होता. ओमला बघुन ते दोघेही जरासे गोंधळले. ओमला आत बोलावलं आणि आईने त्याला नाष्टा दिला.

“नाष्टा असुद्या, मुद्द्यावर येतो..सिया आणि तुझं काय बिनसलं आहे?”

श्रेयस शांत होता..त्याच्या आईने बोलायला सुरुवात केली…

“आम्ही 2 महिन्यांपूर्वी गेलेलो यांच्याकडे राहायला, तिथे जे पाहिलं ते सहन झालं नाही आम्हाला..”

“काय पाहिलं तुम्ही?”

“याची ती बायको…खुशाल नवऱ्याला कामाला लावते. अगदी बैल करून ठेवलाय माझ्या मुलाचा.. माझा मुलगा काय तिच्या इशाऱ्यावर नाचनार का? कसले उपास नको, व्रत नको…असा संसार करतात का??”

ओमला हेही कारण पटत नव्हतं..

ओम घरी गेला…त्याने विचार केला आणि मग त्याच्या लक्षात आलं..

जोवर दोघांच्या घरचे त्यांच्यापासून दूर होते तोवर दोघे सुखाने जगत होते, काही महिन्यांपूर्वी दोघांच्या घरच्यांनी त्यांच्याकडे एकेक मुक्काम काय ठोकला, दोघांचे रंगच बदलले..

ओमने ठरवलं, आता आपणच सगळं निस्तरायचं..

त्याने दोघांनाही भेटायला बोलवलं.

श्रेयस आणि सिया आले, दोघांनी एकमेकांकडे बघायचं सुद्धा टाळलं…

ओम दोघांच्या समोर बसला, त्याने एक दीर्घ श्वास घेतला आणि बोलायला सुरुवात केली..

“श्रेयस, तुम्ही दोघेही नोकरी करता..दोघेही कमावता..मग दोघांनी मिळून घरकाम करण्यात तुला कधीपासून कमीपणा वाटायला लागला? आणि हा निर्णय तुझ्या स्वतःचा होता… तिने कधी लादलं तुझ्यावर हे काम? मला सांग आजकाल कोणती स्त्री नोकरी, घर सांभाळून व्रत वैकल्य करते?
