तिने हाक दिली, तसा तो दुसऱ्या कुशीवर वळला..

“आत्ताच्या आत्ता उठा..नाहीतर पाणी ओतेल तोंडावर..”

“हे बघ, आत्ता उठतो..”

असं म्हणत तो गादीवरच उठून बसला,

“ठीक आहे, आता उठा आणि तयारी करा…तोवर मी रांगोळी काढून येते आणि नैवेद्याची तयारी करते..”

त्याला आवरायला सांगून ती तिच्या तयारीला लागते,

रांगोळी काढून आणि नैवेद्यासाठी सारण बनवून ती 8 वाजता आत येऊन बघते तर काय, नवरोबा झोपलेलेच..मघाशी नाटक केलं होतं तर..

तिचा पारा चढला आणि ती मोठ्याने ओरडली,

तिचा अवतार बघून नवरोबा मान खाली घालत उठले, तिच्याकडे पाहिलं नाही..तिचे डोळे वटारलेलेच होते,

“आता आवरणार केव्हा आणि बाहेरजाणार केव्हा?”

“बाहेर? कशाला?” नवऱ्याने साळसूदपणे विचारलं..

आता तिला काय करू अन काय नको असं झालं..

तिने ओठ ताणत म्हटलं..” सामान आणायला अन कशाला..”

“अरे हो..हे आत्ता आणतो..”

नवरा बाथरूममध्ये घुसला…दहा मिनिटांनी बाहेर आला..

“काय झालं??”

“केसांना डाय करायचं आहे..”

तिने डोक्याला हात लावला..

“काल करता आलं नाही?? सणासुदीला कसं सुचतं हे तुम्हाला?”

“हे काय लगेच..झालंच..”

नवऱ्याने तास दीड तास घालवला..तेवढ्यात एका मित्राचा फोन आला,त्यात अर्धा तास घालवला..

बऱ्याच वस्तू आणायच्या असल्याने तिची कामं त्याच्यामुळे खोळंबली होती,

शेवटी तो बाजारात गेला..

एक नारळ आणि एक फुलांची माळ हलवत घरी आला..

“हे काय??”

“तू सांगितलेलं सामान..”

“मी लिस्ट दिली होती ती कुठेय?”

“लिस्ट? कधी? कुठे?”

“जा परत…मोबाईल बघा..त्यात दिलेली कालच..”

तो परत गेला आणि त्याने पाचपैकी तीन वस्तू आणल्या,

उरलेल्या दोन वस्तू तो विसरला होता, पण छानपैकी कारणं दिली.. फुलं संपूनच गेली होती, जानवे मळलेले वाटत होते..

तिला समजलं..

सामान हातात देऊन नवरोबाने एक सुस्कारा टाकला, 12 तास काम करून दमून आल्यासारखं..आणि पटकन सोफ्यावर आडवा होऊन मोबाईल बघत बसला…

तिची दुसरीकडे प्रचंड धावपळ सुरू होती,

एका बाजूला मोदक, नैवेद्य, स्वयंपाक, डेकोरेशन, मुलांची मधेच चुळबूळ, भांडी, कपडे, साफसफाई, झाडू..लिस्ट संपतच नव्हती..

यावेळी पुन्हा गणेशस्थापनेला दोन वाजून गेले आणि तिचं सगळं वेळापत्रक नेहमीप्रमाणे चुकलं.. पण बाप्पा आलेत याचं समाधान मानत तिने शांतपणे आपापली कामं सुरू ठेवली…दोन वाजता सगळं आवरून झाल्यावर नवऱ्याला बोलवायला गेली तर चक्क तो घोरायला लागलेला…

“अहो…” ती ओरडली तसा तो दचकून उठला..

“काय झालं?? गणपती झाले बसवून??”

“कसे बसणार, केव्हांचे बेल वाजवताय, बाहेरच उभे आहेत..ओएन तुम्ही तर घोरायला लागले..”

“हो का? मी दार उघडतो..”

नवरा अर्धवट झोपेत दार उघडायला जातो…तोच ती ओरडते..

“ओ… डोक्यावर परिणाम झालाय का? पोरांना उचला आणि मूर्ती घेऊन या चांगली बघून..”

तो उठला, मुलांनी आणि त्याने छानशी मूर्ती आणली…तिने प्रसन्न मनाने बाप्पाचं स्वागत केलं आणि अखेर गणेश स्थापना संपन्न झाली..

कथेचं तात्पर्य.

  1. सणासुदीला नवऱ्यांच्या भरवशावर अजिबात राहू नये, कारण सर्वात जास्त झोप आणि आळस या प्रजातीला सणासुदीला येत असतो.
  2. आपण जे बोलतो ते नवरे अगदी हलक्यात घेतात, त्यामुळे आपण जे बोललो त्याचा सारांश लगेच लिहून मागावा.
  3. धावपळीच्या वेळी नवरा अदृष्य आहे असे समजावे, अन्यथा त्याच्यावर आपला कोप होऊ शकतो.
