“तू अशी नव्हतीस..”

“कामात इतकी तत्परता, वक्तशीरपणा, सहनशीलता आणि संयम तुझ्यात नव्हताच कधी…लग्नाआधी छोट्या छोट्या गोष्टींसाठी आकांडतांडव करायचीस, आता हे सगळं आलं कुठून??”

तिच्या डोळ्यापुढून मागचा काळ सरसर गेला,

ती भावुक झाली,

आईला म्हणाली,

“आई तू आयुष्य दिलंस, पण ते निभावून कसं न्यायचं हे सासूबाईंनी शिकवलं..
आई तू सुखाची पाखरण केलीस, पण भयाण वादळात तग धरण्याचं बळ सासूबाईंनी दिलं..
संसार कसा करायचा हे तू शिकवलंस, पण संसार तारून कसा न्यायचा हे सासूबाईंनी शिकवलं..”

आईलाही हे ऐकून समाधान मिळालं,
