वडिलांनी विचार केला, मुलगा कटू पण सत्य बोलत होता,

त्यांना ते पचवायला जड जात होतं,

भूतकाळात आपण बायकोवर अन्याय केला, तिला वाईट वागवलं हे आठवून अपराधीपणाच्या भावनेला खतपाणी घालायचं नव्हतं..ते मौन होते..

मुलगा म्हणाला,

“बरोबर ना बाबा..?”

हो म्हणायची सुदधा त्यांच्यात हिम्मत नव्हती,

काही वेळाने धीर करून ते म्हणाले,

“पण आता जे झालं ते झालं, आता काय करता येईल?”

“मग? कसला त्रास होतो?”

“तिच्यावर अन्याय झाला यापेक्षा ज्याने अन्याय केला त्याला त्याची जाणीवच नाही याचा जास्त त्रास होतो, ती जेव्हा जेव्हा बोलून दाखवते तेव्हा तुम्ही दुर्लक्ष करतात..तुम्ही चुकीचं वागूनही तिच्या बोलण्याला सपशेल झटकून देतात याचा तिला जास्त त्रास होतो.. तुम्हाला तुम्ही किती चुकीचं वागले याची जाणीव नाही या भावनेने तिला जास्त त्रास होतो..”

“मग आता?”

“एकच करा..तिच्याशी बोला..तिच्या मनात साठलेल्या गोष्टीना बाहेर येउद्या..काढू द्या तिला जेवढं उकरून काढायचं तेवढं.. मनात खूप साचलं आहे तिच्या, त्याला बाहेर येउद्या..दुर्लक्ष करू नका..लक्ष देऊन ऐकून घ्या..ते ऐकतांना तुम्हाला त्रास होईल, कारण माणसाला आपलं कौतुक ऐकायला आवडतं, आपल्या चुका ऐकायला नाही..पण तुम्ही ऐका.. आणि तिचं बोलणं संपलं की तिला एकच सांगा..आजवर तुझ्याशी खूप चुकीचा वागलो मी, खूप अन्याय केला तुझ्यावर…मी तसं वागायला नको होतं, त्यामुळे तुला जो त्रास झाला त्याची जाणीव मला होतेय..यापुढे असं वागणार नाही…एवढंच बोला, बघा कसा बदल होतो तिच्यात..”

बाबांनी ऐकलं, त्यांना पटलं..

दबक्या पावलांनी ते आईच्या खोलीकडे गेले..

त्या खोलीतून आज भूतकाळातल्या वेदना, राग, द्वेष, अहंकार सर्व भावना बाहेर पडणार होत्या…

आणि आयुष्याचं एक नवीन पर्व सर्वजण सुरू करणार होते..

मग हा उद्वेग कधी आजारपणात आणि अकाली जाण्यात दिसतो हे कळतच नाही,
ज्या दिवशी पुरुष आपण तिच्यावर अन्याय केलाय हे अपराधीपणाने कबूल करेल,
त्या दिवशी तिच्या जीवनाचा सोनेरी अध्याय सुरू होईल..
